The evaluation copy is free. But you'll need permission to duplicate the script and perform it.

Permission fee: $25 for the script. Or $50 for the script and accompanying PowerPoint.

The $25 package buys

the rights for a single performance
and for reproducing the script for players, technicians, and other support staff;
and a Word document version of the script which you can revise as necessary.

For another $25, you can have the accompanying PowerPoint presentation.

It shows the images you'll see on the evaluation script. The presentation is animated, with panning and zooming. You can also edit it as needed. This PowerPoint, like the script, is for a single presentation.

Crucifixion script, for reader's theater

OKAY, THIS IS RISKY.

We’re giving you free download access to an evaluation copy of an entire script, written as a reader’s theater performance.

The script is about the crucifixion of Jesus, and its parallel to the death of a modern-day man suffering from cancer. It’s called Two Deaths and it’s intended for use in a worship service.

Please take note. It’s copyrighted. That means it’s illegal to reproduce it, perform it, or use it in any other way without permission. And that permission will cost $25. Or $50 if you want the accompanying PowerPoint slide presentation.

Part 1 of why this is risky. The author lives off his income from writing. So if you use this in church or anywhere else without requesting permission and paying the modest fee (less than you’d pay for printed scripts for the readers), the author loses part of his income.

Part 2 of why this is risky. You might get caught. It’s often easier to get forgiveness than permission. But not when it comes to copyrighted material. Permission comes a whole lot easier, and cheaper. Besides, it’s the right thing to do.
